Crestwood School Specialists
Ms. Christine Frohlich (Science Teacher) or “Ms. Fro” as the children lovingly call her, has worked at Crestwood since 1997. She worked in Crestwood’s Middle School, when it was still in session, as a science, math, English, and home room teacher. She also taught computers for 6 years. Currently she works as our camp nature specialist while also teaching science at our school. Christine received a Bachelors in Special Education and Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology & Science and a Masters in Reading and Literacy. She loves the look of joy on each child’s face when they learn a new concept in Science.
Mr. Michael Gaetani (Physical Education Teacher) started at Crestwood in 2012 working as a Group Leader in our Teen Travel program. In 2022 he joined Crestwood’s School Staff as the Physical Education Teacher. Michael graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelors in Childhood Education and is currently working towards his Master’s degree in Social Work at Stony Brook University. He has spent over 10 years teaching in both the private and public schools, including 5 years as a first and second grade teacher.
Ms. Bonnie Lee (Science Teacher)
Ms. Mady Mocelo (Spanish teacher) has been associated with Crestwood for 42 years and considers this her second family. Miss Mady graduated from St. John’s University with a degree in Education. Here at Crestwood she teaches Spanish and has taught Physical Education also, Miss Mady enjoys teaching Spanish through songs and fun activities. She also has taught many children how to ride a bicycle. Miss Mady loves to see the children’s faces light up when they learn for the first time. Miss Mady has also worked in camp as a Group Leader, Kindergarten Division Head and now as the Athletic Director.
Ms. Nicole Seeger (Pre-School & Kindergarten Art Teacher) has been working year-round at Crestwood since 2006. In 2024, she became the new Art Teacher over the school year. During the summer, Nicole runs the entire Art Program at Crestwood Camp. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Art Education plus a permanent teaching certification for NYS. Nicole worked for West Hempstead high school for three years, during that time she was the Class Advisor, the Girl’s Varsity Swim Coach and was voted teacher of the year. Nicole is also a member of the National Art Education Association and NYS Teachers Association. Along with her many roles at Crestwood, Nicole is an inventor and holds a patent for her yarn storage invention.
Mr. Trevor (Music Teacher) started working at Crestwood as our Music Teacher in 2020. For the past 4 years he has also worked at Take A Bow as an Assistant Manager & Sr. Voice and Acting Instructor. Trevor obtained his Associates Degree in music from Suffolk County Community College then continued on to SUNY Fredonia where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in 2018.
Garrett Tate (Security) is excited to return to Crestwood in 2024 as the full-time year round Security Guard. He started at Crestwood in 2007 as an Adventure Specialist and was promoted the following year to the Adventure Program Director where he worked for the following 5 summers. He received a BFA in Art Education/Fine Arts at LIU and also worked as an Assistant Manager in the medical field for 10 years at Urgent Care and Primary Care facilities. When he’s not working at Crestwood you can find him indoor rock climbing or at the gym. Not only does Garrett enjoy keeping our campers, students, and staff safe at Crestwood, he also works as an official NYS licensed Security Guard in the city.
