Prospective Families Lunch and Snacks
Healthy and Delicious
Lunch Time is a favorite time for our campers and staff thanks to our wide variety of hot lunch choices and daily substitutes. Lunch is served family style by a service oriented and courteous wait staff. The children may always have as many helpings as it takes to satisfy their appetite.
Group staff sit with the campers during lunch and will make sure every child finds something they like and is completely satisfied.
Snacks
Twice each day, groups take a snack break. In the morning, this includes light snacks such as animal crackers, pretzels or wheat thins. In the afternoon, each group enjoys either a delicious ice cream or ices treat.
Allergies
Crestwood was the first camp on Long Island to go “Peanut-Free”. We have always been committed to being an inclusive environment and will go to extreme lengths to work with any dietary or medical concern. Our success in creating a safe and fun environment for children with potentially life-threatening medical issues is due to our mature and experienced staff. In order for us to be able to take care of your child’s specific needs, it is best that all medical and dietary issues are discussed with one of the camp directors prior to enrolling. Please do not hesitate to call one of us.
For children with allergies and/or dietary needs, we have created the following tools for parents:
- Allergen Menus - Using our daily lunch menu, lists the allergens for each day’s hot lunch, plus substitutes available. (See below for links)
- Food Labels & List of Ingredients
Please visit these pages for more information. If you have additional questions, please call our office.

Nicholas was so happy that on the weekends he did not understand that there was no camp. The first Saturday he was worried that he had missed the bus. Everyday he comes home with a smile.

I was extremely impressed that my daughter was able to receive remedial swim instruction twice a week during free swim as she needed extra help. She loved the games used to get her to progress. As a result, she has gained more confidence in the pool. Everyday she came home saying that swim was her favorite part of the day

My children had the summer of their lives this year at Crestwood. And I as a parent felt totally at ease knowing they were completely safe, protected and cared for every single day!
