Athletics
Our sports program offers a wide variety of activities, and the excitement of new experiences. Competition is de-emphasized allowing your child to develop at his/her own level of readiness under the instruction of mature teachers and instructors. Children are provided with appropriately sized equipment and play on age appropriate sized fields, where they can achieve the most success.
Facilities include:

With age, children are given more opportunity for sports based on their individual interests including elective time, advanced sports instruction, league play and tournaments.
Adventure
Exploring the outdoors and building confidence through challenge and achievement is a major part of the camp experience. With over 15 acres of private and secluded land, we do Adventure in a BIG way. All campers, even our youngest pre-schoolers, enjoy some level of adventure and challenge. Campers are always encouraged but never forced to participate. Children progress at their own comfort level and pace. Our trained adventure staff teach campers various team building activities and stress the importance of cheering, helping, and encouraging our fellow campers.

Art & Science
Crestwood is a cultural and creative experience. Crestwood awakens an interest in the fields of Art, Dance, Music, Nature, and Dramatics and the creation of channels for self-expression. All activities are led by skilled instructors with age appropriate lessons and projects.

Aquatics
Swimming instruction is the heart of our program and receives the greatest emphasis.
- Large staff (over 45) of experienced, talented, and certified swim instructors and lifeguards.
- 7 Heated Pools, Pool Slides, Tarzan Rope, Tippin’ Toucans and more swimming fun.
- Free remedial instruction when needed.
- Swim Club and Swim Meets for motivated swimmers.
- Computer records on all campers to track skill level and progress.
- Separate pre-school pools and pre-school swim staff.
- Swim Supervisors for both pre-school and kindergarten campers to assure our youngest campers adjust and excel in our swim program.
- All Swim Supervisors communicate regularly with parents and welcome parent phone calls to discuss your child’s swim progress.
- All Group Leaders and Counselors assist our swim instructors and campers during swim.

Other Activities
Crestwood has the widest variety of activities in camping. In addition to all of our Athletics, Arts, and Adventure activities, Crestwood has many other activities for campers to enjoy. While they all may fall under different categories, they all share one thing in common: FUN!

Clubs & Electives
We have created numerous opportunities for Crestwood campers to customize their day, gain independence and decision making skills and most importantly spend more time exploring their interests. Our choice programs fall into either the category of PULL-OUT CLUBS or ELECTIVES.
PULL-OUT CLUBS
These clubs are optional. Those children who are interested will leave their group (after being escorted by a counselor) to participate in the club period. The option to participate in clubs generally begins as campers are entering first grade. As children get older at Crestwood, more and more club choices become available.

Almost all of our activities are available as club options and can be arranged if you or your child expresses an interest or want to further develop a skill.
ELECTIVES
Our elective program is designed to give children entering 1st-6th grade choices in their schedule. During elective times, all campers make a choice from a wide variety of Crestwood activities including Sports, Creative & Performing Arts, Adventure and more. Children will enjoy additional elective periods per week with age.
