What are Crestwood’s hours and dates?

Crestwood’s school hours are from 9:05 AM to 3:45 PM. Crestwood School office hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Our school program runs from September through June. See below for our shorter day options. Click here to view our current school calendar.

Does Crestwood offer flexible choices of programs?

We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our Toddler through Kindergarten. We have a morning half-day program (9:05-11:45), as well as an extended junior day program (9:05-2:00). There is also a full-day program available (9:05-3:45). For our Toddlers, we offer a half-day readiness program (9:05-11:45) and a junior day (9:05-2:00).

Does Crestwood offer transportation?

Door to door transportation is available in our toddler thru kindergarten program. All of our buses are driven by our CDL and 19A licensed teaching staff. You may choose to provide your own transportation.

Does Crestwood offer a lunch program?

You can call Crestwood any time, Monday – Friday. We will also be happy to set up an appointment for you to come and tour our facility.

Is Crestwood a Registered private school?

Crestwood has been approved by New York State as a registered private school and is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services as a registered day care provider.

Are the teachers certified?

Our teachers are New York State certified in early childhood and elementary education. Some teachers are also certified in special education and reading.

Can parents get involved with the school?

Crestwood strives to build a bond between your family and ours and feels communication is the key. Through phone calls, newsletters home, emails and the web, parents are kept up to date on what is going on in their child’s class. Parents are also welcome to visit the classroom to share a special talent, watch student shows, read to the class, help out at parties or join us on field trips. We also have a special Grandparents day for our Nursery and Pre-k classes. Crestwood has a Parent Association that is always looking for new members. Our Parent Association hosts events such as assemblies, book fairs, Halloween parades, pajama night and more.

Do children go on field trips?

Field trips and assemblies are a part of our educational program. They are age appropriate and geared towards our curriculum. Our Nursery and Pre-k class trips include author visits at local bookstores, the firehouse, dentist’s office, pumpkin farm, the supermarket, LI Children’s museum and Vanderbilt Planetarium.
