Friday Special Events Recap:

On Friday the Great and Powerful Oz treated the kids of Crestwood to two spectacular shows.  The Ventriloquist Show for the pre-schoolers and kindergarteners was a huge hit as both campers and counselors couldn't stop laughing at the silliness of the puppets.  And while the younger children got to enjoy a fun-filled show filled with an array of funny puppet characters, the 1st graders and up were treated to an amazing magic show.  The Great and Powerful Oz amazed the children with an incredible performance that included such astonishing tricks and illusions as levitating a camper, sawing an administrator in half, and even making his assistant disappear before everyone's eyes.

Week 3 Recap: Beat the Heat and Crestwood Spirit Week!!!

As Crestwood was hit with a week long heat wave, it was clear from the start that, with our air-conditioned facilities, extra swims, and water coolers and water activities spread throughout the grounds, Crestwood would remain the COOLEST place to the be.  The sounds of group cheers echoing throughout the camp was proof that nothing could dampen the Crestwood Spirit, and it continued to shine brightly during our annual Bus Song Contest, Jersey Day, Silly Sock Day, and the Navahos Rock Star Day.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT CARNIVAL:

For the safety and enjoyment of our campers and staff, we have decided to postpone the Carnival which was originally scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, July 19th).  The new date for the Carnival will be next Wednesday, July 24th.

In order for Crestwood to be properly scheduled everyone for the Carnival without missing any of their activities, we will be following a Wednesday schedule (even week) on Friday, July 19th, and will be using a Friday schedule (odd week) on Wednesday, July 24th.  This also influences our visiting policy, as Parents will now be able to visit tomorrow (Friday, July 19th), but not on Wednesday, July 24th.  The only scheduled activities that will not be changing are the children's Cookout.
