Nicole Seeger

Arts and Crafts Director

Nicole has been working year-round at Crestwood since 2006.  She is one of Crestwood’s Nursery Teachers and then over the summer, she runs Crestwood’s Art Program. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Art Education plus a permanent teaching certification for NYS.  Nicole worked for West Hempstead high school for three years, during that time she was the Class Advisor, the Girl's Varsity Swim Coach and was voted teacher of the year. Nicole is also a member of the National Art Education Association and NYS Teachers Association.  Along with her many roles at Crestwood, Nicole is an inventor and holds a patent for her yarn storage invention.

Eileen Sleckman

Pre-School & Kindergarten Art Director

Ms. Eileen Sleckman holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute and a Masters of Science in Art Education from CW Post. She has been part of the Crestwood family since 1996 teaching Art. Eileen has developed the Art curriculum in our school and directs the Preschool Arts and Crafts program at our camp. She has done work in illustration and design, including the Crestwood logo, and has written several articles for art education publications. Eileen enjoys drawing and painting and exhibits her work in local galleries. She is a current participant in the Town of Huntington Public Art Initiative.

Christine Frohlich

Nature Director

Ms. Christine Frohlich or “Ms. Fro” as the children lovingly call her, has worked at Crestwood since 1997. She started working in Crestwood’s Middle School but currently she works as our camp nature teacher and preschool Science teacher. From the environment, to the solar system, a barn full of animals to gardening, Mrs. Fro really teaches the students and campers so much! Christine received a Bachelors in Special Education and Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology & Science and a Masters in Reading and Literacy. She loves the look of joy on each child’s face when they learn a new concept in Science or Nature and loves introducing all of her “pets” to the campers.

Jared Glazer

Drama Director

Jared joined the Crestwood family back in 2015 as the assistant for drama. Since then, he has moved up to run the program and has had an amazing time mounting great productions with our very talented campers. Jared holds a BM in Classical Voice Performance from the University of Miami and an MA in Music Education from NYU. During the school year Jared is the Middle School Choir Director in the North Babylon School District. In addition, he is very active in the Long Island community theater network as a performer. Jared also enjoys being a teacher/stage manager at the Cultural Arts Playhouse in Syosset and Merrick. Jared looks forward to his Crestwood filled summer every year and the joy of making theater with our amazing campers!

Ali Harris

Cooking Specialist

Ali has always loved to cook and she is so excited that she gets to share her passion with our Crestwood campers. Ali started at Crestwood in 2017 teaching edible art & cooking, and then in 2020 taught Fine Arts. In 2023, Ali went back to the Crestwood kitchen doing what she loves! She is currently an elementary art teacher in Queens. Ali lives on Long Island with her husband Mike and two boys Hunter and Ryder, who are campers here at Crestwood. She looks forwards to summers at Crestwood where she gets to make yummy creations in the Crestwood kitchen!

Bruce Katz

Music Director

Mr. Bruce started at Crestwood in 2016. He is a music teacher for grades K-8 and the “Music Man” is ready and eager to have the best summer ever at Crestwood. “The atmosphere and energy at Crestwood is like none other. I can’t wait to see the kids faces and hear them singing the Crestwood song.” Mr. Bruce’s motto: “Music and summer camp go together like hot dogs and barbecues.” He can’t wait to get started!

Jennifer Jordan

Ceramics Specialist

Jennifer started at Crestwood in 2023 as the Ceramics Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from St. John’s University and is completing a Masters of Arts in Art Education at Adelphi University. She has experience working with various mediums and hopes to share her love for creativity and ceramics with the campers at Crestwood.

Faith Sukoff

Edible Art Specialist

Faith joined the Crestwood family as the Edible Art specialist in 2021 after many years of camp experience. She currently teaches third grade in the Sayville School District where she has been teaching for 26 years.  Faith holds a BS in Elementary Education and a MS in Reading.  She lives in Melville with her husband, two daughters and two dogs, Daisy and Duke.  With her free time, Faith enjoys going to the beach and traveling with family. Since becoming part of the Crestwood team, she has enjoyed the warm and inviting atmosphere that has been created for both staff and campers.  Faith loves to see the children's smiling faces each week as they are always excited to make new projects.

Trevor Alberts-Pearson

Music Theater Specialist

Trevor started working at Crestwood’s Pre-school as the Music Teacher in 2020. In the summer of 2023, he became the Music Theater Specialist for Crestwood Camp. For the past 4 years he has also worked at Take A Bow as an Assistant Manager & Sr. Voice and Acting Instructor. Trevor obtained his Associate Degree in music from Suffolk County Community College then continued on to SUNY Fredonia where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in 2018.

Dawn Klein

Dance Specialist

Dawn started at Crestwood in 2023 as the Dance Specialist. She has been teaching dance since she was 16 years old and is currently teaching at Dance Dimensions. Dawn also choreographs many shows at various Long Island theaters. Since 2003, Dawn has worked during the school year as a teacher at PS 347 The American Sign Language and English Lower School and is fluent in Sign Language. Dawn and her kids love attending Crestwood Camp together.

Melissa Maricondo

Fine Arts Specialist

Melissa started at Crestwood’s Pre-school in 2022 as a Teaching Assistant and then continued working over the summer at our camp. In the Summer of 2023, she became the Fine Arts Specialist at Crestwood Camp. Melissa received her BFA at The New York School of Interior Design. After graduating Melissa worked as a Senior Project Manager for several large commercial office furniture dealers before starting her own delivery and installation company in 2001 with her husband Jeff. Melissa loves children and has always wanted to work with them. In her free time she greatly enjoys watching her son Tristan play various sports and spending time with her four grandchildren.

Heather Stern

Lego / STEM Specialist

Heather has been working at Crestwood since the summer of 2014, first in the Kindergarten Boys Division, then at Legos, then working in the Camp Office. Heather is back working in Legos/ STEM for the summer of 2023. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is a fun and exciting way for kids to explore the world around them by encouraging them to think critically, be curious, and develop skills to help shape the future. In the STEM room, Heather has LEGO challenges each week for the campers. Since 2017, Heather has also worked as a teacher in our Pre-K School. She received her degree in Child Development at Syracuse University and then earned her Master's Degree at NYU in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Heather lives in Old Bethpage with her husband Jonathan and son Ethan who loves attending Crestwood every summer.

Fashionable Stylista

The Fashionable Stylista -Fashion Design Academy teaches fashion design skills and education to future fashion designers.  We provide a supportive, creative and educational environment where young future designers can learn fashion design skills.  The classes and curriculums are built by successful talented Fashion Industry professionals and graduates of FIT. Our classes offer fashion sketching, sewing by hand and machine, designing, patternmaking and fashion education.
